Ambassador Ren Hongyan Visited Angostura
2026-07-22 06:02

On July 21st, H.E. Ambassador Ren Hongyan visited Angostura, a well-known stated-owned enterprise in Trinidad and Tobago, and had a discussion with Mr. Hunt, the chairman of the board, about the brand’s history, manufacturing process, as well as the trade with China in recent years.

Ambassador Ren actively promoted China’s Import and Export Fair and other trade cooperation platforms, encouraged Angostura and other Trinidad and Tobago enterprises to seize the new opportunities brought by China’s high-quality development and high-level opening-up to expand exports to China. He stated that China is willing to work with the Trinidad and Tobago to deepen cooperation under the “Belt and Road Initiative” and promote the smooth development of trade and economy.

Established in 1824, Angostura enjoys a sound reputation worldwide for its bitters and rum products, some of which have already entered the Chinese market.
