Counsellor Lan Heping Attends Dai Ailian Foundation's Media Launch

Aug 22, Dai Ailian Foundation held a media launch at Kapok Hotel to release its 2013 Scholarship Awardee. Ms. Lan Heping, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, was invited to be present.

   
In her remarks, on behalf of H. E. Chinese Ambassador Huang Xingyuan, Counsellor Lan expressed thanks to the Foundation for its contribution in promoting cultural exchange between China and Trinidad and Tobago. She made a brief introduction to Dia Ailian's bio and her positive role in the development of China's dance, and the promotion of the cultural exchanges between China and Trinidad and Tobago. In addition, Counsellor Lan warmly congratulated Symara Williams to become 2013 Dai Ailian Foundation Scholarship Awardee, and wished the Foundation greater success in the future.

Mr. Issac, president of Dai Ailian Foundation, hosted the media launch. A documentary "Dai Ailian" was presented to all the attendees, and last year's scholarship winner Ms. Anya performed a piece of Tibet folk dance.

Mr. Li Xuda, first secretary of the Embassy, Mr. Allum, director of the Foundation, attended the function.
