On February 6th, H.E. Ambassador Ren Hongyan visited Evolving TecKnologies and Enterprise Development Company Limited (eTecK) and exchanged in-depth views with Mrs. Ramkissoon-Mark, Chairman of eTecK, on practical cooperation between China and Trinidad and Tobago, as well as industrial park management. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Zhang Zhihong, Counsellor of the Embassy.
Ambassador Ren stated that as the administrative authority of industrial parks in Trinidad and Tobago, eTecK has actively supported the construction and operation of Phoenix Park Industrial Estate (PPIE), a flagship joint project between China and Trinidad and Tobago under the Belt and Road Initiative. In recent years, the bilateral relations have enjoyed a steady development. The Embassy is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of industrial park construction and operation with eTecK, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results and promoting the practical cooperation to a new level. Mrs. Ramkissoon-Mark stated that China has abundant experience in managing industrial parks, which has effectively promoted the high-quality development of the real economy. It is hoped that Trinidad and Tobago can further draw on China’s industrial park management models and advanced concepts to promote the sustainable growth of Trinidad and Tobago's non-energy manufacturing sector and contribute to the country's economic diversification transformation strategy.
