On October 28th, The Chinese Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago held a meeting for Chinese-funded enterprises in Trinidad and Tobago, which was attended by Ambassador Ren Hongyan, Ms. Zhang Zhihong, Counsellor of the Embassy and representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises including CRCC, Sinohydro Corporation Limited, SCG, BCEG, RRTL and Huawei.

Ambassador Ren listened to the introduction on operation and development of enterprises by the representatives, highly praised their accomplishments, and encouraged them to continue to leverage their strengths and expertise to promote pragmatic cooperation. Meanwhile, he emphasized the importance on strengthening awareness of safety, environmental protection and integrity, as well as the ability to monitor and analyze public opinion and assess the situation, strictly abiding by local laws and regulations, operating legally and compliantly, safeguarding their overseas rights and interest. It is hoped that all enterprises can make greater contributions to deepening China-Trinidad and Tobago strategic cooperation and jointly promoting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.

Representatives expressed their continuing commitment to fulfilling social responsibilities, establishing a positive image for Chinese enterprises, and contributing to the deepening of practical cooperation and bilateral relations between two countries under the guidance of the Embassy.
