On October 17th, H.E. Ambassador Ren Hongyan visited the Solar Park at the Piarco International Airport, a new energy construction project carried out by a Chinese-funded enterprise, Sinohydro Corporation Limited, and held a meeting with Yang Fei, the manager of the company, on the project overview, achievements, as well as the company's strategy and management. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Zhang Zhihong, Counsellor of the Embassy.

Ambassador Ren stated that the Solar Park at the Piarco International Airport is the first centralized photovoltaic power generation project in Trinidad and Tobago. It is also a landmark case of cooperation between China and Trinidad and Tobago in the field of new energy. It is hoped that the company can deeply understand the world significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization in practice, leverage its own professional advantages, contribute to the green energy transformation of Trinidad and Tobago with advanced ecological and environmental protection concepts and high-level infrastructure construction.

Yang Fei thanked the embassy for the support and guidance on the company's development prospects. He stated that the company would explore cooperation opportunities in the context of economic diversification and energy transition in Trinidad and Tobago, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, making contributions to the practical cooperation between two countries.
