On October 7th, Ambassador Fang Qiu extended his farewell to Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.

During the meeting, Ambassador Fang conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support he received from Minister Browne throughout his tenure, and highlighted the significant progress in China-Trinidad and Tobago relations. He emphasized that China always views Trinidad and Tobago as a vital partner in the Caribbean region and is willing to leverage the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations to work with Trinidad and Tobago to further enhance bilateral ties and collaboratively build a community with a shared future.

Minister Browne highly commended Ambassador Fang for his dedication and significant contributions to fostering closer ties between the two nations. He reaffirmed Trinidad and Tobago's commitment to strengthening its relationship with China, enhancing political trust, deepening exchanges and cooperation across various sectors, ultimately benefiting the citizens of both countries.
