Updated Notice on Adjusting Visa Application Requirements

The Chinese Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago has updated its visa application requirements as follows:

I. Effective from 00:00 a.m., 24 August 2022, foreign nationals with valid APEC Business Travel Cards or foreign students holding valid Chinese residence permits for study are allowed to enter China without needing to apply for new visas.

II. For foreign students who intend to go to China for long-term academic education, new students can apply for study visas(X1) directly to the Embassy with the original and photocopy of the Admission Letter issued by a school in China, original and photocopy of "Visa Application for Study in China" (Form JW201 or Form JW202), while returning students who don’t have valid Chinese residence permits for study can apply with the original and photocopy of "Visa Application for Study in China" (Form JW201 or Form JW202) and the original and photocopy of proof of returning to school issued by the school in China.
