From January 8, 2023, COVID-19 will be managed as a Class B infectious disease in China, and border control measures will be adjusted accordingly. China-bound passengers are advised to follow the requirements updated herewith to facilitate their travel:

I. All China-bound Passengers are required to take one nucleic acid test (RT-PCT Test) within 48 hours before the departure of their direct flights to China. Those with negative test reports will be allowed to board the flight by declaring test results to China Customs by filling the Health Declaration Form. PASSENGERS ARE NO LONGER REAUIRED TO APPLY FOR HEALTH CODE/HDC QR CODE. Those with positive test results shall resume their travel until tested negative.

II. To fill the Health Declaration Form, Passengers could use the Wechat mini-program of China Customs or the China Customs APP (scan the QR code below). Passengers could also use the following web page (https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn/htdeclweb/home/pages/healthDeclare/declare.html).

III. Passengers will no longer be required to take nucleic acid test when entering China, and there will be no quarantine for those whose health declaration and entry inspection produce normal results. In case of a positive test result or any symptoms such as fever is detected by China Customs, passengers will be asked to take an antigen test and those with positive test results will need to self-quarantine.

IV. The above measures will be effective for all passengers arriving in China after 00:00 am on 8 January 2023 (Beijing Time).

V. Given the ongoing pandemic, the above adjustments do not mean the easing of disease control. Passengers are advised to take primary responsibility for their health by taking precautionary measures for self-protection and wearing facial masks during the flight.
